8th Grade Presentation
"Great Expectations-Great Rewards" is a presentation to all 8th graders in 13 school districts prior to signing up for their 9th grade classes that shows the benefits of the GLOBE/Texas Scholar curriculum. The presentation is designed to encourage students to take a rigorous core curriculum that lays a foundation for a lifetime of learning for their high school, college and/or work careers.
The 8th Grade Presentation helps prepare students for successful entry into the work force by showing them that this strong core curriculum can lead to higher salaries whether they begin working immediately after graduating from high school, a technical school or college.
